Kibale NP

Kibale National Park is a lush tropical rainforest in western Uganda, renowned as the primate capital of the world. Covering over 795 square kilometers, it protects one of Africa’s highest densities of primates. The park is most famous for chimpanzee trekking, offering visitors close encounters with habituated chimp families. In total, Kibale is home to 13 primate species, including red colobus monkeys, black-and-white colobus, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. With rich biodiversity, over 375 bird species, crater lakes, and guided forest walks, Kibale is a must-visit destination for primate lovers and an ideal addition to gorilla trekking safaris in Uganda.
